Established in March, 2017, Zhengzhou Shanhai Calligonum Museum is the only special museum of Calligonum, a national third-class museum, an excellent non-state-owned museum in Zhengzhou and an AAA-level chinese social organizations. The museum is located in Wenbo City, Zhengdong New District, Zhengzhou City. It adopts the antique quadrangle architectural style as a whole, with a total construction area of 1,600 square meters. Zhengzhou Shanhaijiu Museum is composed of Dr. Zhou Yunxiang, a doctor of project management, a senior researcher of the National Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Development Strategy Research Association, a member of the China Museum Association, the director of the Shell Culture Research Committee of the China Cultural Information Association, an expert in art appraisal of the China Collectors Association, the executive vice president of the Henan Collection Association, the chairman of Henan Dongzhou Culture Development Co., Ltd., and the director of Zhengzhou Shanhaijiu Museum. After 30 years of painstaking research and investment, it has been established.

The cultural relics collected in this museum have run through all periods since the Neolithic period, forming a complete history of the development of the culture of the dragon. There are more than 14,000 pieces (sets) in this museum, including more than 2,300 pieces (sets) of cultural relics, more than 8,000 pieces of shell specimens and 417 pieces of modern handicrafts. There are 759 sets of archival collections, including 3 sets of first-class cultural relics, 69 sets of second-class cultural relics and 294 sets of third-class cultural relics. The collection mainly includes terrestrial fossil specimens, various marine shell specimens, various shell coins, ancient objects representing primitive totems and places of worship to heaven, Buddhist sacred objects, daily utensils, ornaments, works of art, etc. The collection involves the politics, economy, culture, religion and other aspects of ancient China society, with a large number, rich categories and high value.

At present, the museum is a member of the China Museum Association and the organizer of the Shell Culture Committee of the China Cultural Information Association. It is also a popular science education base in Henan Province and Zhengzhou City, a citizen study base in Zhengzhou Community College, a collector's association in Henan Province and a research center for the culture of "Financial Collection" magazine.
