The shellfish culture in China has a long history and is profound. Shell culture, as its name implies, is shell culture. Shells have played an indispensable role in the long history of Chinese cultural development. Trionyx sinensis is a large-scale marine bivalve shellfish produced in the Indian Ocean and the South China Sea. The jaded Trionyx sinensis is made into handicrafts, which have been recorded in the Han Dynasty literature. Its archaeological objects can be traced back to prehistoric times, and Buddhism regards it as one of the "seven treasures".
It is understood that although Henan is located in the Central Plains and far away from the ocean, a large number of shellfish cultural remains have been found in archaeology. As early as 6,500 years ago, the earliest dragon image of China, "the Yi Long in China", was built with shells in the Xishuipo of Puyang, which is an important witness to the ancient use of shells and the embodiment of shell culture. The ancient people used shellfish tools widely, from ordinary tools for production and living to artifacts used to worship heaven and ritual places; From being worn as a protective pendant to being a medium and currency for material exchange; From being a Buddhist sacred object to becoming a symbol of power, status and wealth, all of them reflect the preciousness and sacredness of shells, and all of them reflect the massiness and profundity of shell culture. As one of the earliest forms of currency, Beibi has played an important role in promoting the development of ancient history and social progress. Up to now, there are still obvious historical relics in our Chinese characters, such as the complicated font "Gui", the Chinese characters "Gui", "Cai", "Goods", "Gong", "Xian", "Zi" and "Gift".
Zhou Yunxiang, director of Zhengzhou Mountain and Sea Calligonum Museum, introduced that he has been concentrating on collecting Calligonum for decades, from his favorite to opening the Calligonum Exhibition Hall, and then developed into the only ancient Calligonum Museum in China, in order to make more contributions to traditional culture. At present, the museum is open to the public free of charge all the year round and has been well received by the audience.
It is understood that the collection of more than 1,500 pieces of ancient clams and pearl shells collected by Zhengzhou Shanhaiguan Museum runs through all historical periods from the Neolithic period to the present. There are various categories, from ancient shell fossils to sea fishing specimens, from shell coins to shell carvings, from antiques to works of art, involving all aspects of human activities and life. In the form of production, there are skilled workers, sculptures, clay gold and precious stones inlaid with gold and silver. In the carving process, there are round carving, relief, intaglio carving and hollowing out; There is integrity and assembly in the main body of the work, and the skills are very exquisite.
The relics of ancient tortoise shells and tortoise shells carved in Shanhai tortoise shell museum involve many ancient cultures, such as the mussels and shellfish ornaments of Liangzhu culture, Zhaobaogou culture and Lingjiatan culture in Neolithic period, the "Sun God" and pig dragon of tortoise shells in Hongshan Culture, and the rings, walls and vessels of Qijia culture.
Experts attending the meeting also held a special discussion on the culture of cockroaches. According to experts, the museum has filled the gap in the industry of the museum, and the changed museum has great cultural value, historical value and artistic value, and has a special position in Hongshan Culture, which reflects the universality of the use of Tibetan Buddhism. Experts also discussed the historical remains and shellfish culture from different levels.
Zhou Yunxiang, director of Zhengzhou Mountain and Sea Calligonum Museum, said: While we praise the exquisite ancient Calligonum and lament its rich connotation, we also deeply feel that there is still a lot of work to be done. The professional committee of shellfish culture research will compile the papers and speeches of experts into a book, which will lay the foundation for further research in the future. The seminar will also be based on the research of culture, innovate and create a series of cultural and creative products and derivatives, and promote the integration of cultural tourism. Combined with the ancient excellent shell carving technology, we should do a good job in non-genetic inheritance of shell carving and make the Chinese nation's excellent skills flourish; Carry out various forms of cultural and educational activities to promote the protection of marine ecology; Participate in promoting the project of artificial breeding of clams, so that the protected clams can survive forever and the seafood clams can meet people's living needs to a greater extent.
