Ceramics is an important carrier and eternal witness of the inheritance of Chinese historical civilization. As one of the important birthplaces of China ceramics, Henan had a relatively mature production technology of painted pottery more than 4,000 years ago, and reached the peak of porcelain-making level in the Song Dynasty, becoming the most important porcelain-making center in the northern region. In order to promote ceramic culture, Zhengzhou Shanhaiji Museum has newly built a ceramic exhibition hall, which has four exhibition rooms. At present, it is the largest cultural relic specimen display, popular science teaching and popular science teaching in Zhengzhou.
There are more than 1,000 pieces and pieces in the collection from primitive celadon to Ming and Qing porcelain, which are large in volume and complete in variety. Take the fine celadon of Song, Jin and Yuan Dynasties as the main collection. For example, the primitive celadon in Shang and Zhou Dynasties, the ceramics in Han Dynasty, Northern Wei and Northern Qi Dynasties, Sui and Tang Dynasties, and the five famous kilns in Song Dynasty, including Ru kiln, Ding kiln, Jun kiln and Linru kiln, Yaozhou kiln, Jun kiln, Yue kiln and Longquan kiln. In addition to celadon, the collection also contains some porcelain specimens and kiln furniture from Cizhou kiln system, Gongyi kiln, Xiangzhou kiln, Duandian kiln, South kiln mouth and other famous kilns in China.
