National science popularization day, we are in action!

National Science Popularization Day, that is, on June 29th, 2003, on the occasion of the first anniversary of the official promulgation and implementation of the Law on Popularization of Science and Technology in People's Republic of China (PRC), China Association for Science and Technology launched a series of popular science activities nationwide in order to set off a nationwide upsurge of publicizing and implementing the Law on Popularization of Science and Technology. Since then, China Association for Science and Technology has organized national societies and local associations to carry out science popularization day activities throughout the country every year. Since 2005, in order to facilitate the masses and students to better participate in the activities, the date of the activities has been changed from June to the third public holiday in September every year, as the time when the national science popularization day activities are concentrated.

The theme of National Science Popularization Day in 2020 is: Winning the overall well-off society and practicing science and technology for the people. Our library is doing a good job

In 2020, the National Science Popularization Day was held jointly with Zhengzhou Community College. The activity was held in Zhengzhou Shanhai Dujia Museum on September 19th, 2020.

This activity is mainly to stimulate children's interest in exploring knowledge, increase their cognition, broaden their horizons, encourage children and cultivate their spiritual character of active exploration to meet their inner spiritual development needs. As the concentrated expression of national culture and world civilization, and as the carrier of spiritual civilization and material civilization inheritance, museums shoulder the arduous mission of carrying forward national culture and revitalizing national spirit. Through these cultural exhibitions, people can understand the history and brilliant achievements of the motherland, and use this as an incentive to constantly restrain their own behavior and establish lofty life goals and social ideals, so as to forge ahead courageously for the rise of China.

The participants in Science Popularization Day are mainly parents and children, abandoning the one-way, closed and unequal education mode of traditional family education mode in which parents are above and children are below, putting parents and children in an equal position as educated people, and paying full attention to the communication and exchange between parents and children in education, so that parents and children can benefit together, grow together and increase mutual intimacy and trust.
