The position of cultural relic in that development of human history
Trionyx japonicus is a large marine bivalve shellfish which is produced in the Indian Ocean and the South China Sea. It not only has the beauty, rarity and durability of a gem, but also has medical, cultural, technological and collection values. It has been recorded in the Han dynasty literature that the jaded tortoise shell was made into handicrafts, and its archaeological objects can be traced back to prehistoric times, which is regarded as one of the "seven treasures" by Buddhism. However, the research on the historical evolution and development of the products is very limited. In view of this, in order to dig deeper into the historical and cultural connotation of Calligonum, inherit and carry it forward, and enhance the public's understanding of Calligonum, our library decided to hold an ancient Calligonum cultural forum in Zhengzhou on the morning of October 18th.
